Reading Time: 2 minutes

The life of a field service technician is unique. There are early morning wakeups, late night callouts, and a roulette wheel of weather conditions. Tornadoes in Texas, blizzards in North Dakota, hurricane-force winds in Wyoming: these are just a few of the environmental challenges these warriors walk into on any given Tuesday.

A little discomfort doesn’t faze this crew. They’re immune to everything except cold coffee. (Black coffee, 180° F, no more, no less)

While most of us sit in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment, the field service division of Mesa Power Solutions is waiting in the wings. Always ready.

One service call from making a difference.

When a generator is running in a remote location (possibly hundreds of miles from the nearest donut shop) maintenance can be overlooked. “Overlooked” may be a polite way of saying neglected. When your operation depends on reliable, remote power, distance is an obstacle, no AI solution can erase. The only way to get the job done is to send a real human being. And not just any technician will do.

Equipment Specific Training

At Mesa we stand by the quality of our product. From the day a generator rolls off the assembly floor in Casper, Wyoming, our rental fleet is cared for by specially trained generator technicians. Though we design and manufacture our generators in-house (no middleman!) what truly sets us apart is our in-house training program.

Each of our field technicians attends an extended course covering maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Mesa natural gas generators in real world field conditions. We have the advantage of the fact that most of our gen-tech courses include information straight from the source. The courses are taught by the engineers who design the equipment and the technicians who have decades of experience keeping it running.

Real Solutions, Real Power

As generators become increasingly complex, utilizing real-time monitoring and telemetry, specialized training becomes essential. In remote locations, a technician’s ability to operate independently is critical.  It’s not that our technicians lack support, it’s that when the rest of the world is asleep, knowledge is what solves problems. Preparedness is what separates a Mesa technician from the rest of the industry.

We may not be able to anticipate every issue that can bring down a generator, and in a perfect world we wouldn’t need a fleet of specially outfitted service trucks. But we see every issue as a potential solution waiting to be uncovered. Because every aspect of our business takes place in-house, solutions are much closer to the source, meaning less downtime for the customer and more reliable power.
