Manufacturing Engineer

POSITION TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer

LOCATION(S): Mesa Natural Gas Solutions, LLC

JOB LOCATION: 5151 Reserve Drive, Evansville, WY 82636

DUTIES: A Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in the optimization, validation, and commercialization of Mesa NGS power solution designs, including natural gas generators and power distribution equipment. Operating primarily in the Commercialization Phase of product development, this role is responsible for refining designs for mass production, improving manufacturability, and ensuring that products meet cost, quality, and reliability standards. The Manufacturing Engineer II works cross-functionally with R&D, Design, and Production teams to lead commercialization efforts and supports continuous improvement initiatives across existing product lines. The Manufacturing Engineer performs the following professional job duties:

  1. Lead and manage the transition of Research and Development (R&D) prototypes to full-scale production by refining Computer Aided Design (CAD) designs, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and assembly processes.
  2. Conduct in-depth manufacturability assessments and propose design changes to optimize fabrication, assembly, and cost-efficiency.
  3. Validate prototype and production unit fitment through hands-on testing and collaboration with the Manufacturing Team.
  4. Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production workflows to enhance product throughput and consistency.
  5. Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing teams during the commercialization of new or revised designs.
  6. Participate in Design Reviews and provide feedback on DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), and material selection
  7. Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure smooth integration of new technologies into existing platforms.
  8. Support and lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for production-related issues.
  9. Implement Lean manufacturing principles and support cost-reduction or value engineering initiatives.


REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two years’ experience as engineer

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: State driver’s license

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Travel to unanticipated worksites locally & within USA up to 20% of time.

SALARY: $90,000 – $115,000/ year
