“Hey AI, write me an ode to fall that includes Mesa natural gas generators.”

An Australian-accented female voice says, “Here you go…” And launches into a slightly strange, overly cliché diatribe that begins with “It is that time of year again, the leaves are falling, and there is a slight chill in the air. Women with wide brimmed hats are sipping pumpkin spice lattes while strolling slowly around the town square. A Mesa natural gas generator quietly hums while powering the Christmas lights hanging from the flagpole while squirrels frolic and play in the grass.”

Weird but okay.

If you know anything about us here at Mesa you know we don’t use AI for original copy and we sure as heck do not sip on the official seasonal drink, the pumpkin spice latte, (or PSL for short.) Well, maybe some of us do, but we still love them.

What AI should have written, (if it wasn’t busy planning the destruction of western society,) was about LPG, not PSL.

LP or Diesel?

Let’s face it, fuel is not cheap regardless of where your portable power needs are located. That could be the oil patch, a data center, or even behind a hospital where an outage could carry catastrophic consequences. As of today, diesel is averaging $6.15 on the east coast and spiking up to $8.03 out in California, whereas LP and natural gas, is roughly half that nationwide.

Diesel is the old standby, and the stalwart purists will argue that it is superior to natural gas or LP fuel. They will cite the fact that diesel is easier to transport or store, and that diesel is more efficient. They will even try to convince you that performance from diesel is better than the alternatives. Depending on the discussion, all those arguments can be knocked full of holes. As far as we are concerned, LP and natural gas are the way to go.

LP or Natural Gas?

As you may have guessed, this is a choice you do not have to make with a Mesa generator as our engines are designed to be interchangeable between the two. This is a major advantage, not only for emergency purposes but for commercial and industrial applications as well. Our generators can seamlessly switch between the two fuel sources, increasing reliability and safeguarding against supply issues.

Cheaper operation with the flexibility to run on either LP or natural gas. What could be better? If the utility supply of natural gas drops, automatic switching will ensure there is no lag in power generation. For customers who can experience unreliable supply, remote locations, or unstable connections, Mesa generators are the best option.

Choosing between diesel and the other fuel sources we have discussed is not difficult. In fact, we believe that the choice is very clear, natural gas and LP provide all the benefits of diesel without the annoying cost and supply issues. Of course, annoying is an understatement and keeping power reliable and flowing is the goal.

Why Choose Mesa?

In a market with an overwhelming number of choices, what sets Mesa Power Solutions apart from the competition? For one, we assemble our generators and engines in our own facilities located in Evansville, Wyoming and San Antonio, Texas. We source as much of our inventory from local suppliers as possible, supporting the local economy while securing our supply chain.

Mesa has a dedicated fleet of service trucks staffed with highly trained technicians for fleet maintenance. But what if you need to purchase a generator and not rent? We provide maintenance packages on sold units. Meaning the same superior service with a direct line to the engineering team is available for those wishing to purchase their Mesa generators.

Not only can we provide generators, maintenance packages, and setups, but we can integrate switch gear into your jobsite. Currently we have many types of power management solutions available with more in development, so please reach out to our sales team for more information.

Need A Generator Fast? We Got You… For Now.

As fast as the mild, fall weather will quickly turn to frigid, winter misery, the availability of our generators might change soon. While we currently have generators available, that may not be the case in the coming weeks if the price of diesel continues to climb. If you are on the fence about the purchase of a natural gas generator, now is the time to connect with our sales team as we may have what you need in stock today.

At Mesa we are all about LPG, however, we will never turn down a good PSL and wide brimmed hat in the pumpkin patch. But frolicking in the freshly raked leaves is where we draw the line. Happy fall!
