Your Friendly Neighborhood Power Solution

Reading Time: 3 minutesPicture this: It is nighttime, pitch black, outside of the occasional glimpse of the moon behind the cloudy night sky. The power keeps cutting in and out because of utility failures from a large load user that was recently put in down the block. You worry that if power doesn’t come back by the morning, that your produce and other perishable items will go bad. Who can you call to fix these issues? Your friendly neighborhood power solution, of course! Generators are always a great back-up to have on deck when you are at risk of losing power thanks to the large load put on the grid these days, but much like crime in an alternate reality version of New York, something is always bound to happen. When it does, our own personal Mesa Superheroes are there to save the day. Always There When Needed Despite some of our service technicians being bit by spiders on site, we are unaware that any of them have developed superpowers (we have heard of some claims of giant webs stuck to generators in

Service Never Sleeps

Reading Time: 3 minutesI recently took a visit to one of the institutions that has upheld late night shift workers, food connoisseurs, and college students alike. A façade of brick, an unsightly shade of yellow, and large windows reminiscent of America’s past greeted me from the parking lot while the interior struck a certain Edward Hopper cord in my brain. You probably already guessed it by now, but I was at the World-Famous Waffle House. Cheap food, customers from all walks of life, and late-night coffee, but one thing stuck out to me the most, 24/7 service. You see, our country is built on these companies that provide all-day service regardless of weather, time, or holidays. Walmart, The Waffle House, 7/11’s, and more, provide a backbone of our society that oftentimes is overlooked. Despite being overlooked, these companies have provided the blueprint for what it means to provide exceptional service in America, which is a time-honored idea that Mesa is proud to follow. The Waffle House Index FEMA emergency officials have a storm severity scale that they have lovingly named “The Waffle House

Big Metal Boxes

Reading Time: 3 minutesMy neighborhood is outside of a major population center, although not too far. We have green lawns, a pond, and multiple playgrounds scattered throughout. What used to be cornfields has become a planned community with cul-de-sacs and dog friendly walking paths. We have a sign at the entrance to the neighborhood and yearly community garage sales. Overall, it is a nice place to live. There is one thing that bothers me though; all the houses look exactly the same. One of the only ways to tell the difference is through the signs on the front porch. You know the ones, “Live, Laugh, Love” and other quaint or seasonal drivel. It’s bad enough that people are installing permanent Christmas lights and calling them “accent lighting.” As much as my neighbors like to think it’s a new way to decorate their homes, when I lived in the trailer park, we kept our Christmas lights up year-round years ago.              If you take the time to look around, this “sameness” is occurring at an alarming rate. Most cars look the same, cell phones

Where Car Culture Meets Customer Service

Reading Time: 3 minutesCar culture is a funny thing, isn’t it? What most people see as a vehicle to get to and from work, others see as a bastion of freedom. If you ever get a chance to walk around the parking lots of Mesa, you will see this culture on full display, ranging from old school Range Rovers, to souped up Subarus, to lifted trucks, and even a wide variety of motorcycles. Each vehicle tells a story about its owner, reflecting their personality, interests, and sometimes even their aspirations. For Mesa, car culture doesn’t just exist in our personal vehicles, it is also a line that runs through our technicians’ trucks as well. Built For Any Environment Mesa is all about service. Sure, we make, design, and manufacture engines but servicing those natural gas generators when they are out in the field is one of our specialties. to do that we need specialized vehicles that can take on any situation that arises. Which is where our truck build facility in Casper comes in. You see our generators are all over the country,

Long Days in The Field

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe life of a field service technician is unique. There are early morning wakeups, late night callouts, and a roulette wheel of weather conditions. Tornadoes in Texas, blizzards in North Dakota, hurricane-force winds in Wyoming: these are just a few of the environmental challenges these warriors walk into on any given Tuesday. A little discomfort doesn’t faze this crew. They’re immune to everything except cold coffee. (Black coffee, 180° F, no more, no less) While most of us sit in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment, the field service division of Mesa Power Solutions is waiting in the wings. Always ready. One service call from making a difference. When a generator is running in a remote location (possibly hundreds of miles from the nearest donut shop) maintenance can be overlooked. “Overlooked” may be a polite way of saying neglected. When your operation depends on reliable, remote power, distance is an obstacle, no AI solution can erase. The only way to get the job done is to send a real human being. And not just any technician will do. Equipment Specific Training At

Midland Offices Overcome Tornado Damage, Continue Customer Care

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe weather forecast in Midland, Texas, seemed normal the morning of May 30. The high would be around 100, but Shop Lead Johnathon Roderick said that is to be expected this time of year. “I think it was, you know, higher winds,” Roderick said about the forecast. “10 to 20 mile per hour winds later in the day is what was expected.” Clear skies most of the day gave way to a storm that exceeded expectations, as shortly after 5 p.m., weather alerts for a possible tornado and baseball-sized hail appeared on Midland workers’ phones. Roderick said he left work about five minutes before the warnings came. He saw what looked like a dust storm out of the window of his truck and thought little of it. “Like a minute later, I luckily was going under an underpass,” Roderick said. “It just happened so fast. It started raining really bad — crazy, ridiculous winds — so I just ended up staying under the underpass.” Jerome Goodboe — the health, safety, and environment manager — had left by the time the

Resilient Power Solutions for Critical Infrastructure: Leveraging Natural Gas Generators

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe world is rapidly changing, and maintaining a reliable power supply is paramount, especially for critical infrastructure systems such as hospitals, data centers, and emergency services. Disruptions to the electrical grid can have catastrophic consequences, making it imperative to invest in resilient power solutions. One technology that has proven its worth in ensuring uninterrupted power is natural gas generators. In this article, we will explore how natural gas generators offer a viable and efficient solution for critical infrastructure, focusing on their reliability, environmental benefits, and cost-effectiveness. Reliability When it comes to critical infrastructure, reliability is non-negotiable. Natural gas generators have established themselves as a reliable power source, offering consistent performance even during times of grid outages or extreme weather conditions. Unlike renewable energy sources that rely on weather conditions, natural gas generators provide continuous power, making them a steadfast choice for critical systems that demand an uninterrupted electricity supply. These generators are designed with advanced technology and sophisticated control systems that ensure seamless operations. They can automatically detect power failures and swiftly transition to generator power, minimizing downtime and preventing
