Picture this: It is nighttime, pitch black, outside of the occasional glimpse of the moon behind the cloudy night sky. The power keeps cutting in and out because of utility failures from a large load user that was recently put in down the block. You worry that if power doesn’t come back by the morning, that your produce and other perishable items will go bad. Who can you call to fix these issues? Your friendly neighborhood power solution, of course!
Generators are always a great back-up to have on deck when you are at risk of losing power thanks to the large load put on the grid these days, but much like crime in an alternate reality version of New York, something is always bound to happen. When it does, our own personal Mesa Superheroes are there to save the day.
Always There When Needed
Despite some of our service technicians being bit by spiders on site, we are unaware that any of them have developed superpowers (we have heard of some claims of giant webs stuck to generators in Wyoming, but we lost our investigative journalist to an octopus attack a couple years ago so we have yet to confirm it). Not having super strength, spidey senses, or the ability to swing from trees, doesn’t keep our techs from being exceptional at their jobs, though. You see, our technicians go through rigorous training that enables them to repair any problem Mesa’s natural gas generators may have.
Service isn’t simply something our techs are told to care about. Much like superpowers, it is ingrained in their DNA. Whether it is well below freezing or it is the middle of the summer, our techs are always on standby ready to fix any issue that may arise. You may be asking, well what exactly do they do to fix these natural gas generators? And to that I say, it is far beyond the paygrade of anyone writing a blog to know, and after all would you ask a superhero exactly how they save people?
But I suppose I can tell you because you didn’t actually ask, did you? They are taught how to fix the pistons, the crankshaft, the spark plugs, the cylinder heads, the camshaft, the electronic system, the buttons for said electronic system, the switches, the fuel input and exhaust output systems, the gaskets, the seals, the telemetry system, and so much more. You see, just like a superhero, they have to know a lot to ensure you still have power when it matters most.
The People In the Chair
So how do they know when to save a generator and when not to? They don’t have a special “Mesa Sense” (our engineers may secretly be working on that though), but what they do have is the men and women in the chair or what we otherwise lovingly refer to as the TOC. The TOC or “Technical Operations Center” is where our people in the chair monitor every little detail. If a generator is about to go down or is having any semblance of small issue, the TOC sends one of our technicians to check it out and make sure everything is on the up and up. Not only are they monitoring the generators and people who work on them, they also are running 24/7, rain, sun, or shine, and on any holiday.
Super Without the Power
Our generators are exceptionally built in every way. From the engine to the housing down to the small details like the switches. There are a wide variety of configurations, sizes, and gear to customize it to any power needs. We are proud of what we put out in the field, but we are even prouder of the service we provide, saving people from cold nights, perished food, and boredom. And we do it all without having superpowers.
