
It’s Too Hot
Reading Time: 3 minutesRight now, it’s so hot. When the sun explodes and the earth burns up in a spectacular ball of fire, it will only be five degrees warmer than it will be at noon today. There are people who love to say things like, “It’s a dry heat” or “I think it was hotter yesterday,” like that makes any kind of difference. When your hands melt to the steering wheel or the emergency chocolate you keep in your center console turns to molten sludge, it doesn’t matter how hot it is, it is too hot. Here in the office, our project manager went for a run at lunch and ended up stuck to the crosswalk in front of the building. We had to get a front-end loader over there just to peel the melted shoes off the asphalt. It’s just so hot.
