Happy Birthday America!

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Two hundred and fifty years.

What is Mesa doing to commemorate this historic anniversary?

For one, we will soon throw the doors open to our brand-new manufacturing, warehousing, and corporate facilities in Evansville, Wyoming. Okay, so it is purely by coincidence and the fact that our contractor, Caspar Building Systems, is wrapping up construction early. (Who does that? Thank you Caspar!) While it is not open to the public, it will be the spawn point for hundreds of new natural gas generators and GX22 engines (among other, secret engines yet to be released!) As of this printing, the actual move-in-date is dependent on the permitting process and various inspections that need to occur prior to occupancy.

Post-occupancy paperwork, the building will be home to our natural gas generator manufacturing, GX22 engine assembly, and much more. One idea floated around the marketing table to commemorate the occasion was to place a time capsule in the corner of the building. Only to be opened in one hundred years or when our COO Fred Fichtner retires, whichever comes first. One thing is for certain; it is an impressive building. We did not, however, install an escalator, which leaves Wyoming with only two of the motorized staircases.

Celebrating Our Veteran Roots

As we honor the birth of our country, we would like to take the opportunity to remember those that have served and sacrificed for this country over the last 250 years. May their stories never be forgotten. Mesa was conceived by veterans, and the values of our founders have become the basis of our culture. It has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the freedom we are able to enjoy due to those that fought and died for this great nation.

The People that Make Mesa Great

We are often asked what is so great about Mesa?

To which we quickly answer, “our people.”

Much like this exceptional country of ours, our workforce has a wide range of backgrounds and talents. We are all working towards a common goal, to design, build, and service the finest natural gas generators. All done right here in the greatest country in the world. The fact that our generators are assembled on US soil by hard working Americans is an incredible source of pride for Mesa. It is because of these men and women that we can provide responsible, reliable power to thousands of loyal customers throughout the country.

Natural Gas Generators, Made Here

Obtaining products made in the USA is increasingly difficult in the current global economy. It’s not like the last century where you could walk into a car dealership and buy a vehicle built and designed right here. Now we find ourselves in a situation where most of the products we buy are made somewhere else. At Mesa, our first priority is protecting our people and that means procuring a reliable supply chain. We make the best possible effort to ensure our ability to produce natural gas generators is secure.

While we use parts from companies based overseas, we have nurtured those relationships, and they have been carefully chosen for their quality and reliability. Quality is the goal of our assembly teams, and the new generators coming off the line are a testament to their commitment. We can confidently claim that our generators and switch gear are assembled in the US of A. In this day and age that is increasingly rare, but we do whatever it takes to build an exceptional product.

FREEDOM!

Between the people and the products, Mesa is as American as you can get, I mean we started in Wyoming of all places. If we were an NFL team our mascot would be the bison and we have actually had bald eagles flying over more than one of our buildings. This weekend is about celebrating the freedom we all enjoy, so fire up the grill, pop open a lawn chair, and maybe hit the lake. No matter how you decide to celebrate, have a wonderful Independence Day! Here’s to the next 250 years!
