Mesa Natural Gas Engines: More Power, Made Here

Reading Time: 3 minutesAt Mesa Power Solutions we have several gearheads on staff. From the casual observer to the sit-down-shut-up-‘n-hang-on race car builder, a love of engines is a passion we all seem to share. Now, we are not ripping down the road in 10-second Hondas and Camaros. The closest we get to that adrenaline rush is when the GPS “arrival time” drops by one minute. (Win!) No, we tend to keep the racing to the spec sheet around here, although there are rumors of clandestine desk chair drags out behind the building on weekends. (Allegedly of course.) Ready For Something Entirely New? Mesa is one of the few natural gas generator companies in North America to develop and bring to market a brand-new engine. What would cause us to make the leap into the extremely competitive world of engine design and manufacture? We take great pride in creating a superior product built to the “Mesa Standard.” Internally, we guide our decisions based on this concept. All of our products reflect the exceptional employees at the heart of this organization, and we think

What Is Stoichiometry? A Practical Guide To Stoichiometric Engines

Reading Time: 3 minutesTypically as people start to learn more and more about engines and generator packages, we find them asking: What is a stoichiometric engine, or What is stoichiometry? At the most fundamental level, stoichiometry is a ratio of whole integers. This article will help explain how stoichiometry influences our generator engines. The Basics of Stoichiometry Before we begin to talk about engines and generator packages, it helps to explain basic stoichiometry. By definition, stoichiometry is the quantitative relationship (i.e. measurable connection) between a reactant and a product in a chemical reaction.  In chemistry, this is a general way of saying what substances are required to fulfill a reaction. A simple example of stoichiometry is: 2 1/2 cups flour + ¾ tsp baking soda + ½ tsp salt, + 2/3 cup sugar + 1 ½ tsp vanilla, + 1 egg, + 1 bag of chocolate chips = The perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. For this recipe, or reaction, certain elements are needed to fulfill it. Like in the chocolate chip cookie example, all reactions inside engines are dependent on what they have

Do Natural Gas Generators Work In The Cold?

Reading Time: 3 minutesWe get calls every day asking if natural gas generators will work in extremely cold or extremely hot temperatures. Given the wide range of differences that exist in the oil and gas plays globally, our units are tried, tested and proven in the major production fields around the world. “Do Natural Gas Generators Work in the Cold?” Why do we feel it’s important to address this question? So you can better understand how a natural gas generator can help your business function at optimal efficiency. Do Mesa natural gas generators work in your climate? Let’s find out. Location, Climate, & Range of Temperatures for Natural Gas Generators Consider your climate as it changes throughout the seasons. Obviously, we don’t know your specific conditions yet, but we hope for the opportunity to find out. On average, it’s a simple task to deliver a natural gas generator. However, setting up for an efficient work operation is another task entirely. We get calls every day asking, “will your generator work in_____________.” Our short answer is, “Yes.” Our systems work in nearly any climate.
