Scott Gromer

Chief Executive Officer

Scott Gromer began his tenure at Mesa at its inception in 2014. He came to Mesa with extensive experience in operations, maintenance, and finances including those of Safeway, Inc. and Coors, Inc. Scott serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mesa Solutions. He is a retired Major from the Wyoming Army National Guard with 23 years of service across two unit commands and three overseas deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree from South Dakota State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Colorado State University. Scott is a father of 5 and lives with his wife in Windsor, Colorado. In his free time, he enjoys activities with his family like skiing, basketball, and coaching.

Fred Fichtner

Chief Operations Officer

Fred Fichtner serves as the Chief Operations Officer of Mesa Solutions. He began his tenure at Mesa at its inception in 2014. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Range Management from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Science degree in Strategy Studies from the United States Army War College. Fred came to Mesa after 24 years of service in the United States Army and Army National Guard across several deployments, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Before his time at Mesa, Fred owned and operated a successful construction company in the Denver metro area while serving in the Army National Guard.

Mike Trott

Chief Financial Officer

Mike Trott serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Mesa Solutions. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University. Mike has extensive experience with global financial reporting, accounting, and auditing at companies including ExxonMobil Corporation and True Oil Company. Currently, he oversees all accounting, finance, and internal controls at Mesa Solutions. Prior to coming to Mesa, he owned and operated a successful small business in Casper, Wyoming.

Zachary Soukup

Vice President of Global Power Solutions

Zach Soukup is the Vice President of Global Power Solutions at Mesa Solutions, where he leads global sales, service, and technical support for the company’s distributed power generation portfolio. He is responsible for strategic growth, commercial execution, and operational performance across a division that includes equipment sales, engine sales, aftermarket services, and project development. He is currently leading Mesa’s shift from a traditional equipment model to integrated distributed energy solutions, including turnkey delivery, utility-connected systems, and microgrid programs.

Since joining Mesa in 2015, Zach has progressed through engineering, commercial, and strategic leadership roles, playing a key role in the company’s expansion across North America and select international markets.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Montana Tech of the University of Montana, as well as a Master of Petroleum Engineering and an MBA from the University of Wyoming.

Trey Lawson

Vice President of Rental Power Solutions

Trey Lawson serves as the Vice President of Rental Power Solutions at Mesa Solutions. Lawson has 15 years of experience in the energy industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in energy resources from Liberty University. He is working towards a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and previously served in the U.S. Navy.

Thomas Poteet

Senior VP of Corporate Development

Tom Poteet is the senior vice president of corporate development for Mesa Power Solutions. Poteet’s purview in this role includes characterizing and casting the vision for the optimal use of natural–gas powered generation, monitoring the innovation stream for future sources of site power, and developing customized rate plans and progressive field applications to meet customers’ needs and financial preferences. With over 40 years in engineering, Poteet’s career has given him experience in electric power, telecommunications, and oil field production. Poteet graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering.
