Mesa’s Leadership Reading List

The leadership team at Mesa Solutions has a goal to train leaders at all levels of the company. To achieve this goal, a reading list has been compiled and curated to include books that help develop and hone leadership skills and traits, and to help foster Mesa’s values and culture in all employees. The reading list includes reading material that is required reading for those in leadership positions and is recommended reading for every Mesa employee to give them insights and tips on developing these important skills. Listed below are books that create a strong foundation for teamwork and leadership. Each Mesa employee is given the book The Ideal Team Player on their first day and encouraged to read it to discover what three qualities make a great team player. Not much of a reader? Start with one. Then another. You’ll have the whole list knocked out in no time! In the wise words of Fred Fichtner, COO and reading list administrator, “If you don’t think you have time to read, you don’t have time to lead.” 1. The Ideal

What Is Stoichiometry? A Practical Guide To Stoichiometric Engines

Typically as people start to learn more and more about engines and generator packages, we find them asking: What is a stoichiometric engine, or What is stoichiometry? At the most fundamental level, stoichiometry is a ratio of whole integers. This article will help explain how stoichiometry influences our generator engines. The Basics of Stoichiometry Before we begin to talk about engines and generator packages, it helps to explain basic stoichiometry. By definition, stoichiometry is the quantitative relationship (i.e. measurable connection) between a reactant and a product in a chemical reaction.  In chemistry, this is a general way of saying what substances are required to fulfill a reaction. A simple example of stoichiometry is: 2 1/2 cups flour + ¾ tsp baking soda + ½ tsp salt, + 2/3 cup sugar + 1 ½ tsp vanilla, + 1 egg, + 1 bag of chocolate chips = The perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. For this recipe, or reaction, certain elements are needed to fulfill it. Like in the chocolate chip cookie example, all reactions inside engines are dependent on what they have

Do Natural Gas Generators Work In The Cold?

We get calls every day asking if natural gas generators will work in extremely cold or extremely hot temperatures. Given the wide range of differences that exist in the oil and gas plays globally, our units are tried, tested and proven in the major production fields around the world. “Do Natural Gas Generators Work in the Cold?” Why do we feel it’s important to address this question? So you can better understand how a natural gas generator can help your business function at optimal efficiency. Do Mesa natural gas generators work in your climate? Let’s find out. Location, Climate, & Range of Temperatures for Natural Gas Generators Consider your climate as it changes throughout the seasons. Obviously, we don’t know your specific conditions yet, but we hope for the opportunity to find out. On average, it’s a simple task to deliver a natural gas generator. However, setting up for an efficient work operation is another task entirely. We get calls every day asking, “will your generator work in_____________.” Our short answer is, “Yes.” Our systems work in nearly any climate.

Brief Drilling History

Mesa Solutions understands that to know where things are going, we must know where things have been. Mesa Solutions cares about history, place, roots. Driving our work at this point is a compilation of all that have come before us, building upon hard work that has already been done. This article is aimed at giving Mesa Solutions’ customers a brief drilling history and lifting as it relates to oil production. The word petroleum derives from the Latin petra ‘rock’ and Latin oleum ‘oil’ – literally, “rock oil”. Bituminous rocks and liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons are often exposed at the earth’s surface or flow freely at low pressures – a natural occurrence commonly known as a petroleum seep. Early civilizations exploited these natural seepages of petroleum, asphalt, bitumen, tar and pitch for thousands of years, evidenced by bitumen adhesive on the ancient tools of the Neanderthals, as a setting material for Mesopotamian jewelry, and, in antiquity, as the waterproofing for Greek and Roman ships. The Chinese were the first to drill wells in order to reach the hydrocarbons trapped beneath the

Various Electric Utility Types With Mesa Natural Gas Solutions

Mesa Solutions understands the ins and outs of all the power generation options in our industry. It is this experience that allows Mesa to work through the variables relative to power generation options and create a system that works the best to meet the needs of our customers. Serving our customers is of the utmost importance. Of the many methods of power generation, using electrical utility sources is a big player. This article’s aim is to inform you about the various electric utility types. In contrast to the relatively simple rental relationship offered by portable generator rental vendors, the customer experience with various electric utility types are often much more complex.  Such complexity is usually a function of organizational structure, funding scheme, and the fact that there are several different types of electric utilities. Relative to the various electric utility types in the United States, we have three primary types; the IOU’s (Investor Owned Utilities,) the Coops (rural electric cooperatives,) and the Muni’s (municipal owned systems.) Investor Owned Utilities Of the various electric utility types, IOUs are probably the oldest identifiable type
